New York: McLoughlin Bros, 1899. Very good.. Exceptional ABC using names to teach letters, with large print and colorful images. Each letter of the alphabet represents a different name with text in verse: "Y is for Yolanda" and "Z is for Zillah, Who bows you goodbye, She hopes you'll learn fast, And you will if you try." 8.5'' x 10.5''. Original stiff pictorial wrappers. Alphabet pages illustrated with six bright full-color chromolithographs (inclusive of endpapers), with tri-color on other pages, which include word lists. [12] pages. Juvenile pencil scribbles on pages six and seven. Spine with some nearly invisible repairs. A bit of faint scratching to rear wrapper, marginal soil and rubbing to wrappers. Leaves with some marginal soiling. Colors vibrant.
