(Oklahoma, 1917. Softcover. Very Good. Oblong octavo (11" x 8"). String bound flexible leather covers. Contains approximately 200 gelatin silver prints of various sizes neatly mounted on the rectos and versos of black paper leaves. Most prints are captioned in white ink on the mount underneath the print. The leather spine and covers are worn and perished at the edges, first fourteen leaves neatly detached from spine, else very good or better, interior prints are clean and bright with one photo removed. Laid in is one loose print (2 ¾" x 4 ½") of Bacon Rind, Chief of the Osage Nation in Oklahoma, captioned in ink on the blank bottom margin of the print.

The album contains numerous images of a large extended Oklahoma family and friends socializing and engaged in various outdoor activities, including horseback riding, and at an outing at Wheeler Park, Oklahoma City. Most images are of young women, solo and in small groups of friends. Also included are a few images of young men at U.S. Army training camps, and one young man in uniform: "France ‘18". Two large portraits of a Western Union "Manager" and "Operator" at Guthrie suggests that the family home may have been located near Guthrie in Logan County. An attractive collection of images.
