Great object ABC mounted on muslin for easy use by young children, with no text except for large block letters accompanied by a rich illustration and primarily one-word captions. Illustrated in bright colors, this book is part of "Saalfield's Muslin Books" described as "EVER WEAR-NEVER TEAR." Among the letters, "A" is for "Auto," "B" is for "Book," and "N" is for "Noah's Ark." 6.5'' x 8.75''. Original pictorial linen wrappers. Top and bottom edges decoratively serrated. Leaves (including endpapers) illustrated with three to four colorful images and block letters. [4] pages, printed one side only, folded at fore-edge and bound at gutter. Ink gift inscription dated 1931 at front spine. Minor fraying at edges, some soil to interior.
