[Denver, Colorado], 1915. Softcover. Good. Oblong octavo (11 ½" x 7"). String-bound black textured leather covers, owner's name stamped in gold on front cover. Contains approximately 300 vernacular gelatin silver photographs mounted on the rectos and versos of black paper leaves. Most images are captioned in ink on the print at the upper and/or lower margin. The edges of the covers are worn, front cover is partly perished, some prints have been removed, about very good overall.

The album contains many candid images of a young woman out and about with family and friends at her home in Denver, Colorado, and on various outings in the mountains along the Continental Divide and the Colorado River. The album features several images of horses and automobiles, both at Denver and mountain retreats. Among the images are the young woman and friends seated on large ponies or young horses at Denver and riding at mountain cottages, together with images of hiking excursions and landscape views of valleys and mountains, including Lookout Mountain just west of Denver. Also notable is a large format print (6 ½" x 4") of a football game from 1922.

An attractive collection of early vernacular images taken at Denver, with many landscape views of Colorado's mountains, rivers and lakes to the west of Denver.
