Springfield, Massachusetts: Milton Bradley & Co, 1867. Fine; small ink stain to left-hand margin of receipt. Creased where previously folded.. Ephemera from Milton Bradley & Co., including one receipt on company stationary (5.5" by 8.25") and one lithographed advertisement (8.5" by 5.5") for the company's services. The receipt has been made out to one W.J. Barber Esq. of Warehouse Point, and is dated Dec. 3, 1867; the lithographed advertisement is dated 1865 and lists available stationary and lithographic services. Versos blank. Milton Bradley (1836-1911) was a businessman and lithographer who set up the first chromolithography business in Springfield, Massachusetts, in the 1860s. He is best known today as a board game magnate.
