1910. Fine.. Two photographs notable for their unusually tall rectangular shape. The subjects are a young woman named Earla Viola Steade Rowley and her mother. Each measures roughly 14.25" by 4", and details to the images have been added with watercolor and light pencil. They are signed in pencil by Vreeland (i.e. Rosa Vreeland?) under the image and the subjects are labeled in pencil on the verso. Earla Viola Steade Rowley (1887-1966) married Arthur Merriam Rowley (b.1883) in 1911. Arthur was a descendant of the founders of G. and C. Merriam, publishers of Webster's Dictionary. These photos were most likely taken not long after the marriage took place. Earla was affectionately referred to as "Gogo
