Advertising Letter from Holihan & Co. Seal Engravers

New York, New York: Holihan & Co, 1870. Fine. Some light toning, letter folds.. Engraved letter (8.5" by 5.5") on illustrated company letterhead from Holihan & Co., makers of seals, stamps, and presses for notaries and other official use. The form letter addresses a newly appointed notary, and offers prices for customized seals. The illustration at the head of letter is of two of their products: a seal press and a percussion stamp. The lower left-hand corner has been stamped with one of their blind stamps for notaries. The envelope (3.25" by 5.75") has been addressed and sent; the return address is blind stamped.
