A scarce edition of fairy tales in verse for children with hand-stenciled illustrations, published by Darton and Co. It features adaptations of the following tales: Little Red Riding Hood; Blue Beard; Cinderella; Little Thumb and the Ogre; Puss in Boots; Whittington and His Cat; and The Chase. Among the more charming illustrations is one of a Tudor-esque Blue Beard, stenciled with an actual blue beard. 4to (8.25" by 6.5"), pp. 30, with hand-stenciled in-text illustrations. Lacking original wrappers. Four (4) copies only in OCLC (March 2022).
