By Marie Luise Gothein
London: J.M. Dent & Sons, 1928. Decorative Cloth. Near Fine/Very Good +. An exceptionally well-preserved example of the 1928 1st English language edition, complete in 2 volumes and translated from its original German by Laura Archer-Hind. Both volumes tight and Near Fine in their gilt-decorated and titled navy-blue cloth. Small, very neat former owner inscription at Vol. I's front free endpaper, otherwise clean as could be. And both volumes in crisp, price-intact, VG+ to Near Fine dustjackets, with very light soiling along the panels. Thick quartos, edited by Walter P. Wright, over 600 hundred illustrations all told. Truly a collector's copy, the nicest this bookseller has seen.
