Leather rather rubbed and dried at margins, small loss at spine crown of Vol. I, raised bands scuffed and front joint of Vol. III starting; internally sound, with light foxing and finger-soil to preliminaries, contemporary pencil gift inscription to front free endpaper of Vol. I; overall a Very Good set in attractive, albeit flawed, Riviere bindings.
