Quarto (14" x 11 1/8"); in the publisher's pictorial boards with design with Alsatian children by Hansi; with a gift inscription from "Daddy", passing on a "gift to him from a friend in Strasbourg, Jean Schmidt, Papeteries de la Robertson"; Jean Schmidt's card is attached to the half-title page; with splendid color illustrations by Hansi throughout. the signatures have been reinforced and the text resewn with Irish linen thread 18/3; the binding has been rebacked with blue moriki, and the spine trimmed and original spine reattached; one leaf has small loss to the leading edge, not affecting the illustration at all.~~The "Beaucoup d'Images par Hansi" was brilliant and lovely.~~. Very Good binding.
