A prominent surgeon's wife poses nude (but masked) for a portrait by a famous artist. The artist must quickly improvise when asked about the identity of the woman in the painting, and accidentally implicates a real woman, leading to a number of comic misunderstandings. Basis for the 1935 American film "Escapade," starring William Powell and Luise Rainer.
