By Abbey, Edward
Chosho Publishing, 2022. Reprint. Paperback. New. 360pp. Octavo [22.5]. Illustrated wraps.

This is a print-on-demand title, but the text is clear and easy to read. The author never wished this title to be reprinted, and the author would not wish you to read it.

Abbey himself described this early novel as "bad Thomas Wolfe" and was embarrassed by it almost as soon as it was published. He refused to allow a reprint during his lifetime (with the exception of a single chapter found in "The Best of Edward Abbey," a compilation originally titled "Slumgullion Stew"). As a result, this title has been out-of-print for 68 years. However, the seeds and germination of everything Abbey would become throughout his literary career and personal life are contained within the pages of Troy. The anarchist, the wobbly, the classic music loving, flute playing hedonist, the pagan and wilderness lover.
