Poster with eight punctures from stapling, small black ink date written near center image, else a very good scarce poster with no creases. Provenance ownership stamp on verso. Illustrated in green and yellow [8" x 10.5"]. 4to. Trash is a 1970 film produced by Andy Warhol and written and directed by Paul Morrissey, starring Joe Dallesandro, Holly Woodlawn and Jane Forth. It's is the story of a junkie (played by Dallesandro) who can't get sexually aroused through a series of encounters with women.
This poster comes from the collection of J. Wesley Miller, an eccentric activist and nearly lifelong resident of Springfield, Massachusetts known for his collection of street literature, student protests fliers, and bar advertisements. The bulk of his collection is in the holdings of the University of Wisconisin as the Madison People's Poster and Propaganda Collection.
