The Town of Mount Carmel in the Coal Region, Northumberland County, PA 1853

Philadelphia: P.S. Duval, 1853. 37" x 30". Folded and paper lightly tanned. The first plan for the town was done in 1848 and lots were offered for sale. The town was laid out again in 1853 and by then a few buildings had been constructed and the map we offer here was printed. Lots were numbered and sold and a large coal mining town was constructed.
