Delightful late Victorian collection of six mini books for little readers, in the original publisher's box, each illustrated with four full-page chromolithographs. Individual titles include Miss Mistletoe, Kittie, Sugar and Spice, Playfellows, Sandcastles, and Snapdragon. Printed in Bavaria by publisher Ernest Nister, with no author or artist credited. Quite difficult to find with all titles in the original box. 3.5'' x 3''. Six volumes in publisher's box. Original pictorial boards with cloth spines. Each volume illustrated with four color plates and additional line drawings. Scuffing and light soil to box, with pen inscription to rear board ("To Vivian from Elizabeth Land"). Minor soil and wear to boards.
