Front cover is moderately browned at top and bottom edges (circa 3/4 inches in width along length of top edge and 1/8 inch at bottom edge), small, light brown stain on rear cover (at top edge, circa 3 by 1/2 inches), light wear and few nicks at tips of corners, else a very good copy, with the front cover otherwise bright, text and plates very fresh and clean. Studdy (1878-1948) studied art at Heatherley's Art School in London and animal anatomy and drawing at Calderon's Animal School. At the turn of the century he began to submit drawings for publication and contributed to numerous periodicals including Comic Cuts, The Big Budget Comic, Boy's Own, etc. He is best know for his creation of Bonzo, which brought him international fame.
