The boards are showing through at the corners and spine ends of each volume. The front hinge of Volume 2 has a long split. The endsheets are foxed, and the front endsheets have previous owners' names and embossed stamps from a previous bookseller. Laid in sleeve with newspaper clippings relating to the Atlantic Monthly.
