Red leather spines over red cloth covered boards with gilt titles and gilt decorations to spines. Heavy wear to corners of boards and to spine ends. Darkening to spines. Wear to hinges and to edges of boards. Occasional spots of foxing to interior, but clean overall. Chipping and a few closed tears to edges of some pages. The title pages in both volumes have torn corners, which have been repaired with paper from the same period. Filled with full page plates, several hand-colored.
