Die Stahl Kirche ("The Steel Church")

  • Pictorial wrappers
  • New York: Copper & Brass Research Association, 1930
By Professor Otto D. Bartning, Architect
New York: Copper & Brass Research Association, 1930. Pictorial wrappers. Very Good +. Uncommon 1930 presentation by German architect Otto Bartning extolling the virtues of steel and copper in the construction of churches. (In Germany this grew into a movement in ecclesiastical architecture called "Die Stahl Kirche"). The catalogue is clean and VG+ in its pictorial wrappers, with just a touch of light scraping and chipping to the spine, and several tiny closed tears along the top-edges. Quarto, crisp black-and-white photos along the rectos. Tiny blank tag (from a personal library) at the foot of the spine.
