Very good. 626; 631; 622; 662; 899pp. Duodecimo [19 cm] 3/4 brown leather with marbled paper over boards, leather spine labels, and gilt stamped floral designs on the spine. Top edge gilt. Marbled endpapers. The extremities are moderately rubbed, and the spine ends are occasionally a little chipped. The text blocks of a couple of the volumes are cracked at the beginning, however overall the set is very sturdy. An attractive set of Gibbon's monumental work, originally published in 6 volumes between 1776 and 1788.
