This listing is an uncut Colombine (Pantin), Imagerie Pellerin, Imagerie D'Epinal No. 1344. Published by Pellerin of Epinal, France. c 1850. The French Pantins of the 17th and 18th centuries were another form of paper doll. Usually published on sheets with six parts to each paper doll or "jumping jack" The sheets were mounted on cardboard and cut-out. The Pantins were quite popular in France in the 17th and 18th Century. Finely attired woman with plumed hat and rose.
