A handsome copy of this 1917 collection of 4 Japanese children's tales, illustrated in black-and-white and vivid color by the author herself, Violet Moore Higgins. Solid and VG+ in its pictorial, navy-blue cloth, with foxing and a tiny former owner name at the first blank endpaper. And in a matching cardboard box, which shows some wear (creasing and nicking) along the edges but which has clearly protected the book very nicely.
