Thirty-five (35) 4" to 6" Handmade Victorian Paper Dolls

United States, 1870. Very good. Minor toning and dust soiling, one or two stains.. A handmade set of thirty-five (35) Victorian paper dolls including eight (8) men and twenty-seven (27) women. Each is already dressed in a variety of styles: mourning wear, day and evening wear, and night wear. There is even a male paper doll brandishing a knife in what appears to be flamboyant dress for the stage. Dolls measure from approx. 4" to 6". Original pencil and watercolor on paper. A couple have names noted in pencil on their backs. Two paper dolls are accompanied by three (3) additional outfits.
