An interesting chapter of California state history is explored in this book, reproduced in part from a small rare booklet discovered in the Bancroft Library which was presented by the widow of a direct decendent of Deputy Don Carlos. Printed on Van Gelder hand-made paper with artwork by William F. Rauschnabel. Dark green cloth spine over green paper covered boards with cream paper title label to spine. Gentle bumping to corners and light wear to edges fo boards and spine ends. Crease to front free endpaper, else clean and bright. In green dust jacket with black title to spine.
