By Ralph Adams Cram
New York: Baker and Taylor, 1905. Cloth. Very Good +. A very nice Association copy: WARMLY INSCRIBED BY AMERICAN ARCHITECT RALPH CRAM (1863-1942) TO HIS PARTNER F.W. FERGUSON on the front free endpaper. A sharp copy to boot of the 1905 1st edition. Clean and VG+ to Near Fine in its crimson cloth, with bright gilt-titling along the front panel and spine. Very light wear at the spine crown, just a touch of scuffing to the rear panel. With ten chapters on Japanese architecture, painting and sculpture, five of which were previously published in architectural magazines, one of which was read as a paper and four of which were printed here for the first time.
