Harold Lloyd Corporation. Paramount Pictures. Publicity brochure for Harold Lloyd's first sound picture, "Welcome Danger", which was released in 1929. It is almost surely one of the most elaborate of such brochures from the day, as would befit one of the giants of the late Silent era screen, and one of the three most celebrated comedians of the Silent Screen (along with Keaton and Chaplin). Of the three, all of whom did transition to sound pictures, Lloyd surely had the smoothest transition, owing among other things to his actual speaking voice matching his prior persona so well. (And also, unlike Chaplin, he didn't resist the onset of sound.) Large tabloid sized, 47.5 by 31.5 cm. [2], 24 pages, plus content on inside front and rear cover.
