Laid in is a single page from another publication with color stained glass designs. Scarce - only 5 in OCLC. 1911 Large Hardcover. 32 black-and-white plates, some folding showing stained glass designs and the buildings in which they were present, with 275 engraved illustrations in text. The author was a French stained glass painter, who assisted Pierre Bossan in planning the construction of the Basilica of Notre-Dame de Fourvière. In the 1880s he gained popularity with his own work, and received orders from numerous foreign cities, including Nagasaki (the Immaculate Conception Cathedral), Cairo (the palace of Tigrane Pasha), and Rio de Janeiro (church of the Sisters of saint Vincent de Paul).
