Douglas wrote the letter while filming the classic film 'Lonely are the Brave". The film was an adaptation of the Abbey work 'Brave Cowboy', and adapted by Dalton Trumbo.

Signed by Kirk Douglas, with the date of publication, on the title page. Signed by the publisher, James Pepper, with the notation, "Copy 19 of 30 specially autographed copies," on the copyright page.
