Lithograph of an engraving by Robert Whitechurch, after a painting by Christian Schussele, depicting Benjamin Franklin presenting the grievances of American colonists to the Privy Council on January 29, 1774. Variously titled: "BENJAMIN FRANKLIN AT THE COURT OF ST. JAMES, LONDON". Lithograph has faint damp staining to bottom right corner, and several instances of mild splotching to central portion of image. In wooden frame with gold painted interior molding. Frame has light wear overall, some moderate scratching to finish on right vertical side, and some chipping to interior molding. Hanging adjacent to Lazarus Room. 1366773. Special Collections.
