Noted for his skill as a landscape painter, Frank Adams gives his amusing illustrations a lush sense of depth, and his cheerful characters are evocative of Cecil Aldin. Containing the rhymes of the Three Jolly Huntsmen; The Little Man and His Gun; and Three Jolly Fisherman. Quite difficult to find in nice condition. 13'' x 9.5''. Original cloth-backed boards with color pictorial paste-on. Illustrated in color. [40] pages. Erased pencil inscription to front flyleaf. Binding with a hint of some glue reinforcement to spine, a bit of rubbing; faint dampstain to lower corners. Endpapers with scattered foxing, leaves with occasional touches of soil. Colors bright.
