Victorian Cookie - with Cupid & Cornucopias of Flowers in a Garden Scene plus Marzipan Flaming Heart

New York, 1890. An elaborate cookie created in the shape of a heart with applied cornucopias and a Cupid with a floral garland. Applied gold leaf to bead-shaped border decoration. The cookie was applied to a New York City street map for cooling/stability. The map on the reverse is helpful in dating the cookie, in 1912 the land was donated to the City of New York for a park. The parcel of land was purchased by Mr. Isham in 1864.
