Moderate soiling, a few minor stains and several tears and chips to wrappers, moderate toning to interior, folds to corners of several leaves, stains and soiling to corners of three leaves at rear of text. $750. * This is the first printing of the 1714 Orders of the Commissioners for repairing freshwater streams, rivers and sea banks in the Norfolk town of King's Lynn and its environs. A notable early example of English water law, and of the application of royal power to environmental matters, the 1714 Orders supplemented the orders of a century earlier issued in 1603 by James I.
