Moderate toning, light soiling to exterior, brief contemporary annotations in pencil to a few leaves, small library stamp and presentation inscription to "James McMahon Esq/ From the Author" to title page. $150. * Only edition, one of two issues from 1828. Beames, a barrister and legal author, was an expert on equity. Both he and James McMahon were members of Lincoln's Inn, admitted in 1809 and 1804 respectively. This pamphlet was reissued under the author's name in the Pamphleteer, Volume 29 (1828). Counting both issues, OCLC locates 10 copies in North America, 4 in law libraries (Columbia, University of Minnesota, Yale and the Library of Congress, which has the reissue).
