Based on Teresa Carpenter's Pulitzer Prize-winning Village Voice article "Death of a Playmate," which traced the unusual circumstances of Playboy model Dorothy Stratten's death at the hands of her narcissistic husband and manager, Paul Snider, in 1980. Director Bob Fosse's final film, released a few years before his death in 1987.
Set and shot on location in Vancouver, B.C., New York, and Los Angeles.
