Pebbled brown cloth with gilt lettering and black chain illustration. Boards bumped at corners and spine ends, with rubbing along bottom edge and some general light smudging to surface. Spine a bit cocked. Front and back free endpapers toned. Chipping along fore-edge of p. 303-4, with no loss to text. Opens easily between a few gatherings but binding is sound. Pages toned and a bit brittle but unmarked.
