The twenty-five-year-old Congregationalist minister's earliest published sermon, delivered upon his installment to the Pastoral Office over the Church of Christ in Worcester. The youthful minister concludes his address by shrewdly reminding his congregants "People should also express their Thankfulness for their faithful Ministers, by supporting them agreable to their Station and Character, not suffer them to be in low and penurious Circumstances" (p. 31).
