1860. Signed and dated lower right, titled at the top. 7 x 10-1/8 inches. Faded, minor mat burn, removed from an album. Signed and dated lower right, titled at the top. 7 x 10-1/8 inches. In the autumn of 1860, Andrews accompanied the 19-year-old Prince of Wales, the future King Edward VII, on an extensive tour of the United States and Canada. As the excursion’s official artist, he produced numerous sketches for the Illustrated London News. On October 1, the Prince left Pittsburgh and travelled to Washington, D.C. to meet with President Buchanan, stopping at Harper's Ferry en route.
