Small quarto; in sewn marbled wrappers with a wrap-around paper label; "one of about fifty copies printed on an Albion hand press" (n.b. we find about 20 copies on OCLC); with an introductory essay signed by Lawrence Clark Powell; and with Ritchie's essay on Quince, signed by him with all his various pseudonyms: Davie Dicher, James Beattie Pitwood; Betsey Ann Bristol, Peter Lum Quince, and Peter Mallor and finally his own name; title page is printed in various bright colors; and with seven woodcut illustrations from designs by Paul Landacre; with a Christmas card from Marka and Ward Ritchie laid in; and with the signature of Brooke Crutchley, the univeristy printer at Cambridge for many years.~~Lovely copy of what is an uncommon item to say the least.
