Leather touched up along spines and extremities, hinges discreetly reinforced, Vol. I rear pastedown replaced, else a Good to Very Good, internally sound set.
Described by Sabin as "The only extensive collection on the subject," compiled by Timothy Alden (1771-1839), founder and educator at a number of schools for girls throughout New England and Pennsylvania. The first edition of Vol. I appeared in 1812. Quite uncommon as a complete set.
