Very Good. 302pp. Octavo [19.5 cm] Thickly woven yellow cloth covered boards with brown ink stamped titles on the spine and front cover. Publisher's brown top stain. The boards are lightly soiled, and the spine is darkened (Title still bold). There is a brief contemporary inscription at the head of the front free endpaper. A strip of paper with the author's bio has been mounted to the rear free endpaper. No dust jacket. A novel of the Southwest in the early twentieth century. This book won a Pulitzer Prize in 1930.
