By Vancouver, Charles
George Inn, Huntingdonshire [England], 1796. [1] p. folded sheet. Written on folded sheet, addressed on verso. Quarto. Bit tanned. Very good. [1] p. folded sheet. Vancouver was a noted agriculturist. An American by birth, he spent 1786 to 1793 in England, where he wrote reports on the state of agriculture in various British counties. The DNB speculates that he returned to America around 1800. In this letter Vancouver states that he has sent Bell 200 copies of the HARLIAN TRACTS, which he wants Bell to sell for him in Philadelphia, Bell being a printer and bookseller in that city. He goes on about his efforts to pay off his debts. DNB XX, pp.95-96
