Kenneth Kaunda (1924-2021) was at the head of Zambia's struggle for independence from British rule. He became the first President of independent Zambia in 1964, the year this book was published. The work includes excerpts from his autobiography, first published as Zambia Shall Be Free, as well as major addresses of the early 1960s. This copy was presented to J. Wayne Fredericks, the US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs from 1961-67. [62112].
