Inscribed on the half title to Morris and his wife, author Sylvia Jukes Morris (1935 - 2020): "Love to Edmund and Sylvia/ and happy returns/ for us all/ - from William/ Central Park/ May 24, 1982". The "happy returns" refers to the book being a presentation gift on the occasion of Morris' 42nd birthday, having been born on the same date in 1940. Slight curl to the edge of the front cover. Newspaper clippings collected by Morris laid-in at the rear with some attendant offsetting to rear verso endaper and inside rear cover.
