By Maj Sjowall and Per Wahloo
New York: Pantheon Books, a Division of Random House, 1967. Very Good +/Very Good +. New York: Pantheon Books, a Division of Random House, 1967. First U.S. Edition. Octavo. 212 pp. Illustrated dust jacket with "$4.50" price present. Green boards decorated in blue, yellow, and red; purple topstain. Most likely ex-library though with markings removed (more info below).

Dust jacket rubbed and lightly creased along edges; no institutional markings to dust jacket. Boards show ghost of tape strips to front and rear; minor fraying to top interior edge of rear board. Binding is sound. Evidence of removal of (presumably institutional) markings to endpapers, title page, and bottom edge of text block; glue stain to rear endpapers; interior otherwise unmarked. Overall a Very Good or better copy of the first book in the Martin Beck series.
