By Vladymir Mayakovsky (Alexander Rodchenko)
Moscow: Vladymir Mayakovsky, 1926. Pictorial wrappers. Very Good +. Alexander Rodchenko. An uncommon example of 1926 post-Revolution poetry AND Constructivist design, with the work of 2 giants of Russian Futurism and Constructivism, Vladymir Mayakovsky (1893-1930) and Alexander Rodchenko (1891-1956) here on display. Published by Mayakovsky, this slim, 16 pg. book, which features Mayakovsky's "denunciating" poetry following the suicide of Russian poet Sergei Yesenin (1895-1925), features 2 original photomontage wrappers and 2 photomontage plates designed by Rodchenko. Fragile and yet crisp and VG in its wonderful stapled wrappers, with light staining along the rectos' lower-edges and mild creasing throughout. In its original Russian, title here translated into English.
