Rubbed, worn edges with typical wear for books of this age including vertical crack to the spine and chipped spine head edge. Raised bands to the spine and lightly stamped border with scroll decorations to the front/rear boards. Text blocks has darkened head edge and reddish coloring to fore/tail edges. Slight pencil erasures to the front free end paper. Frontispiece. Previous owner's name to frontispiece. Cracking to the gutter at pages 210-211. Foxing sprinkled throughout and copious notes to the rear end papers. Illustrated. Text in Latin.
