The boards are just a hair warped, the bottom fore-edge corners of the covers are bumped, and there are barely visible damp stains to the bottom fore-edge corners of the pages. In the dust jacket (not price-clipped) with Chip Kidd's original cover art, featuring "mutated" letters and a five-legged Knopf borzoi on the spine. The jacket's spine is moderately sunned (title still bold), and a bit bumped at head. The surface of the rear panel is rubbed and has roughly a dozen small indented marks. Dunn's quirky third novel was a finalist for the National Book Award in 1989. In the years since, "Geek Love" has achieved something akin to cult classic status.
