Salt Lake City, Utah: Deseret News Press, 1952. First edition. Hardcover. Very good minus. 512; 471pp. Quarto [26 cm] Black grained cloth with gilt stamped titles on front boards and backstrips. There are a couple of previous owners' markings on the front endpapers. Volume 1 has a previous owner's ink stamp to the top edge of the text block. There are very light thin light moisture stains in the fore and top edges of the pages throughout the first half of this volume as well. There are numerous very tiny white splash stains on the covers of volume 2. The title on the spine of volume 2 has faded. Profusely illustrated history of the Mormon experience in California.
