Privately-printed memoir of service as an officer in the U.S. Naval Reserve during WW2. The majority of Dix's active duty was spent as an anti-submarine gunnery officer on merchant vessels. Portions of this memoir previously appeared in the Navy magazine "All Hands" in 1944. After the war, Dix went on to a long career as a columnist for various Illinois newspapers, mostly the Moline Daily Dispatch. Apparently rare; presumably distributed only to friends and family, as OCLC notes no institutionally-held copies, and no copies have been recorded in commerce.
